The War Related Illness and Injury Study Center (WRIISC), located at the New Jersey Health Care System (NJHCS), East Orange Campus, is accepting applications for the position of a research physiologist at the advanced Assistant Professor level.  Appointment at our affiliated medical school, UMDNJ, is possible.  The WRIISC team consists of a group of multi-disciplinary scientists and clinicians who are experts in post-deployment health and has a successful history of interactive, collaborative, funded research pertaining to military deployment related health issues. The new member of the WRIISC research team will be integrated into the already existing research activities at the WRIISC and is expected to develop their own externally funded research program.  Applicants with a variety of research interests are welcome, but experience in the areas of exercise physiology, as well as cardiovascular and metabolic measurements is preferred. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work relates to pain, fatigue, and other chronic health conditions.
